The famous Raja Rampal Singh of Kalakankar (born 1 September 1848,died 28 February 1909) published the Hindi daily newpaper "Hindosthan" from Kalakankar from july 1887 to December 1908,entirely at his own expense,for the promotion and propagation of the Hindi language. Mahamana Madan Mohan Malaviya Handled the editorial duties of the newspaper from july 1887 to November 1889,during which time he became a close friend of Raja Saheb.Malaviya included prominent writes of the time,including Balmukund Gupta,Pratap Narayan Mishra,and Gopal Ram Gahmari,on the editorial board.
Raja Saheb's wish was to establish a degrre college in Kalakankar to make higher education accessibla in rural areas.To realize his dream, his descendant,Raja Dinesh Singh of Kalakankar,established this college in memory of Malviya.The college was established in july 1966.This institute is a government aided college affiliated to Prof. Rajendra Singh(Rajju Bhaiya) University, Prayagraj Utter Pradesh.Over the time the reputation of the college turns to national level.Numbers of Students from other state are studying in different faculties.
This institute provides various undergraduated and postgraduate degree programs like B.A., B.Com. , B.Sc.(Agriculture), M.Sc.(Ag)sub..(Horticulture, Agronmy, Agricultural extenses, Gentic and Plant Breeding), B.Ed. , M.A., M.Com., B.P.Ed., D.El.Ed. and many more.College provides all the facilities suchas good infrastructure, we equipped classroom, training facilities, adequate number of laboratories, library, reading room, play ground, hostel(boys & girls), meeting rooms and many more. From the security point of view entire campus is equipped with CCTV cameras. NSS, NSS and Rovers Rangers are also available.
